Golden Retriever littermates Bartleby & Thomas, 10 months old, enjoy a rowdy afternoon together.
NOTE: video erroneously says 10 weeks old instead of 10 months.

Thomas & Mr. B. share a tug toy . . . a water bowl . . . and a cooling fan.

After a 6-month trial separation, Mr. B. and Tommy, competitive littermates with a history of escalating confrontations, are reintroduced to each other in the wake of hurricane Milton.
Are they mature enough now to coexist?

Two days before Milton swept over St. Petersburg & the barrier islands we evacuated to Lakeland where his littermate “Thomas” resides with my sister. The assumption was that the hurricane would drift up the State but instead it followed us inland.
No matter. We escaped damage.
The problem was that we had kept Bartleby & Thomas apart for the past 6 months because their “play” would go from rowdy to out-of-control in a heartbeat, and they would end up – well, fighting like brothers.
But this time we nicely managed their reintroduction by using adjacent crates until they learned to play nice.
Well, they got along reasonably well out in the yard but inside we still had to schedule alternate periods of crate time with only one roaming free at a time.
Mr. B. was in toy heaven and loved every minute of our 8 day “vacation.”

Should Bartleby be promoted to the next level?
Or expelled from class?

I told Bartleby we couldn’t go outside because it was raining.
He just laughed at me.

Bartlebly watched the Olympics, and was inspired. He’s turned his room into a practice field and embarked on a rigorous training program.
